I wore this ice skating the other day. I'm actually a pretty good ice skater if I do say so myself. I'm really in love with the black tights and white shoes look right now,n but the contrast paired with my poofy skirt (I wore my big petticoat with this one :P) made my legs look kind of short. I also wore my link pocket watch and a black headbow, but you can't see them.
Yesterday I exchanged the frumpy (but expensive) sweater my dad bought me for this amazing dress. It was my non-loli dream dress, and it's beautiful.
I bought it from this store called free people. I usually go in there just to hang out in the changing rooms, but this is the first time I've ever bought from there. If you were thinking "Kattoo you're so wierd, who hangs out in a changing room!" You obviously haven't seen how beautiful they are. So I took pictures (the rest of the store is even prettier, but I probably wasn't allowed to take pictures.
These walls are carved/molded BTW
And lastly, a mirror shot, that shows the whole room. Also, I dress like a hipster when I'm not wearing lolita btw.
So I didn't actually wear this outfit out. I just tried it on and took some pictures. For a while I felt like I couldn't make any interesting outfits, then I thought of this idea! I wish I had somewhere to wear this, like a con or a meetup, but sadly I don't. I might organize a meetup just to have an excuse to wear this! (would that make me a douchebag?) But anyway, here's the outfit.
So, remember a few posts ago when I bought the wrong colour of paint? Well it's OK I went back to fix it!
But trying to make an exchange at a craft store during christmas time is a painfully difficult process. I had to wait in a super long line, and when I asked the lady at the back of the line if it was really the end she got offended for some reason. Well I made it to the front of the line eventually, and then I found out that I needed a drivers license to make a return. What the hell, why do I need a drivers license to return a bottle of paint? What am I going to do, drive the damn paint!?! Anyway I eventually made the exchange but it was painfull.
The new paint is on the left, and the old paint is on the right.
And in this one, the new paint is on the right, and the old paint is on the right.
I've made it my goal to collect every special flavor of pocky (as in not chocolate or strawberry) So yesterday I went to my local asian grocery store and found this. It was pretty good, and mint-chocolate always reminds me of christmass for some reason. I just wish the box were cuter!!!
So I had these old bodyline shoes laying around that I wanted to deco. So I went to my local craft store and bought all this stuff. And by all this stuff, I mean fake roses, pink paint and flatback pearls.
First I cut the ribbons off my bodyline shoes, I actually really like how the cross detail looks without the ribbons, I think it would look especially cute in brown!
Then I started painting the shoes, and to my woe, the paint was a lot brighter than it looked in the store. I wanted baby pink or powder pink not offensively bright neon pink! Even though, now that I look at the pictures it seems so obvious that the paint was neon pink....
It's so bright! It won't match any of my clothes, not to mention the roses and pearls I was going to put on it! I think I'm going to go back to the store this weekend and exchange the extra bottle of hot pink for a bottle of powder pink paint. I wish the craft store were closer though. I hate that it's a 45 minute walk from the train station. Whatever, worst case senario, they won't exchange my bottle or the paint won't come off, I'll just paint the other shoe, deco it and try to sell it on etsy. I'm sure there's some loli out there looking for hot pink shoes!
