Today's outfit was inspired by Belle from Beauty and the beast. I tried to incorporated elements from her blue and white outfit as well as the fancy yellow ballgown. Also, I wore my super poofy petticoat for the first time in ages.
One of my goals this month was to do more stuff with my hair so.... lets take a look at this weeks hairstyles.
OK that's all of them. You are officially allowed to stop reading because this post is going to get long but here's a breakdown of this week's hairsyles.
On Monday I wore fishtail braids. I'm ridiculously bad at doing fishtail braids. This is the first time they turned out mildly wearable, and they're still weird and puffy. Also it was raining so the lighting looks weird.
On Tuesday I wore buns at the nape of my neck I love this hairstyle to death but it's a lot harder to make than it looks.
On wednesday I made a headband out of Braids. I like hairstyles like this because I can still show off how long my hair is, but the braids control some of the volume.
On Thursday I wore my hair in braid loops.
On friday I tried to recreate this hairstyle. It doesn't look as awesome as it does in the picture but I didn't have any awesome hair extensions to work with. This picture doesn't really do the hairstyle jusice though. The braid actually started by my ear. Here's a decent picture of my hair accessories btw:
On saturday I tried to straighten my hair. I'm just going to go ahead and say that this wasn't a good idea My hair might have been straight but it was still frizzy and thick so it didn't have that sleek feel that naturally straight hair has. Also it didn't stay straight for that long.
On Sunday I decided to finally give up on all of these stupid hairstyles.
Reading "what's in my bag!" posts is kind of my guilty pleasure so I decided to make one of my own. Now you get to see all the stupid stuff I carry with me!
Inside this extremely cluttered bag is:
School books ( this is my school bag)
Manga. I'm a huge manga nerd and I pretty much always have at least one volume of manga with me.
Band aids and safety pin, in case of emergencies (kept in wallet)
iPod, with kuromi case
Nintendo DS, with deco case.
Lip gloss and chapstick
Comfy hoes. Not exactly something I bring to school everyday but they were in my bag the day I took this picture because I was wearing heels the day before and I was likely to get tired of the heels and give up. I included them in this picture because I could.
So the end of the school year is getting close, and tomorrow I'll have to return my math book. As much as I hate math class, I'm a little sad to have this book leaving my bookshelf because it's so cool looking. When I got it at the start of the year I was like "Holy pants! When did math books start looking cool?"
I mean just look at that beautiful face! This is how I learn math!
I keep my jewlery in an old box. A few years ago, I decided that I didn't like the color of the box so I decided to paint it bright blue. I still don't like the original color of the box, but I don't really like bright blue anymore. Also. the paint was chipping and it looked kind of gross.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this but my jewelry box lives in the Oz corner of my bookshelf.
Today I went to the flea market and I spent a little bit more money than I should have u_u
I bought this cute tin bottle for my bookshelf, I think it was a really good find.
I also bought this dress. I could have gotten a better deal on it, but I think it looks good on me, and the fabric's really lightweight so it's good for summer. I might take out the pin tucks and make a ruffle at the bottom or something though.
